Guided by hypnotic audio, girls dance in repetition. The context and purpose of their celebration remain unclear. A vague, mysterious, and unsettling trip fraught with unknown intentions. Extracted from Richard Kelly's film Donnie Darko (2001), 30 seconds of dance scene is reassembled, slowed down, stretched into a vibrating, and pixelated material. A voice-over accomplishes this abstraction with a hypnosis treatment, searching this scene for signs of half-remembered tales: the true meaning of living in the present moment.
